About PCOOS
The Pacific Coast Oto-Ophthalmological
Society’s membership is composed of Board certified otolaryngologists
and ophthalmologists from predominately the thirteen western states.
The membership includes academic and clinical physicians in these
specialties.
The society is accredited by the Accreditation Council
for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing
medical education for physicians at one credit per hour of scientific
program at the annual meeting.
The Annual
Meetings are held in a rotation between the North Pacific,
the South Pacific and Hawaii every third year. Last year, the
89th Annual Meeting was held in Vancouver, British Columbia. In
2004, it was held in Waikoloa on the Big Island of Hawaii. This
year, PCOOS will meet in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California. And,
in 2007, the 91st Annual Meeting will be held on the Northshore
of Oahu at the Turtle Bay Resort.
In addition to excellent scientific sessions,
PCOOS’ meetings are held in resort hotels in locations conducive
to a relaxed environment for the sharing of an educational experience.
